Electric [Cinema] in Notting Hill
«It was always the Electric [Cinema] in Notting Hill in the old days. It offered a real cinema experience, so anarchic and political in its rejection of cinema market mores» Actress Hulie Christie has no doubt.
An adventure
«Plus, going there was always an adventure. Who knew what might happen? However, today my favourite cinema is the Renoir in the Brunswick, in London. It remains noble in its refusal to be dictated to by the marketplace while continuing to support great films. Also, the Rio in Dalston, London (pictured below), has a terrific atmosphere».
